Headlands Hotel newly opened in May 2008, just off Surf Highway 45 home to legendary surf breaks, located on the cliff top 100m from Opunake beach and shops; 2km drive to professional surf breaks, guarded by Mt Taranaki, native bushwalks and coastal walkways. 9 rooms ranging from stylish, studio rooms to luxury, boutique suites with mountain/sea views and spa baths. Very friendly and helpful staff. Accommodation and restaurant were a very good standard. Only there 2 nights and the weather was wet most of the time. We would certainly return.
