Sharyn and Paul welcome you to 16 Northgate Motor Lodge. We have 23 affordable comfortable studios for short and long term stays. All studios are self contained with cooking facilities. With heat pumps/air conditioners adding to a comfortable stay throughout the year. Our Executive Queen & Single studios have recently had MY SKY HDi (40 channels) installed. All studios have SKY TV. FREE wireless internet for all guests. Treat yourself to a relaxing stay in one of our newly redecorated rooms. The spacious studio units have new double glazing to add to your comfort. 16 Northgate Motor Lodge is the first motel as you drive into town from the north. Only a 10 minute drive to the airport, making an easy journey if you are flying in and out of New Plymouth. We are also easily located if guests are travelling into town from the south. Within close walking access to the Te Henui & Coastal walkways. Enjoy Pukekura Park and the Bowl of Brooklands all within walking distance. Situated close by to local beaches for swimming, surfing or a relaxing walk. There is a relaxing BBQ garden area that is ideal for getting together with family and friends to enjoy a drink or a meal. We had an overnight stay in a Queen suite and found it very clean, it had everything we could possibly need. Owners were helpful and the Motor Lodge is easy to find and central to everything. Good job Sharyn & Paul!

Nice clean unit, comfortable super King size bed, very convenient location. we had a front unit and traffic noise was loud, friendly staff. Good place to stay.

loved this motor lodge .. il give a A +++ too the owners we enjoyed our stay there. very friendly & polite. i would love too stay again. the unit we had was tidy & clean when we arrived .. the service was great.. thank yous for having us !!! :) Highly recomended

Overall, a good place to stay. Stayed here on New Years, everything went well. Very clean. The rooms had an older charm to them (built in the 80's?), but they've been kept up-to-date, with a nice style and had all the modern facilities you would expect. Regarding the below comment, I had no problems with any of the staff or owners, they seemed nice, were helpful & obliged when I turned up earlier than expected, accommodating me to another room that was ready instead of my original one. The door lock on that room was jamming when I arrived, but I let them know and it was all fixed up by the time I got back from where I had been. I even asked if they could hold onto my bag after I had checked out for a few hours and they were happy to help The only annoyance I had was, that being New Years, the police/ambulances were very busy and those sirens going past were noisy! But this, of course, was outside their control.
