Welcome to The Ratanui - If you are after a serene and tranquil experience then we can offer you very affordable, friendly accommodation. A property that you can enjoy the most devine 'park like' grounds with fantastic views of Mt Taranaki and only just 'down the road' from New Plymouth concert venue, Bowl of Brooklands, in Pukekura Park. Ratanui is located only 6 minutes drive from the City Centre, with mystic mountain views and beautiful established gardens. You'll love the Taranaki lifestyle, and only a short drive to wonderful restaurants and cafes in central New Plymouth. Accommodation is self contained and comprises of studios, 1 & 2 bedroom units plus a 3 bedroom cottage.

While in New Plymouth for the infamous American Festival - stay in our refurbished 1 bdrm unit. King beds, new kitchen, new bathroom. Free off street parking that is super safe & FREE. Continental Breakfast available. Freeview only. Some units sleep 3.
Executive 1 Bedroom Unit
Ratanui offers our Executive units - refurbished 1 bedroom units with brand new kitchen and bathroom. Units contain flat screen TV's, Freeview (Sorry no Sky), furnished with a comtemporary feel to compliment the serene feeling of Ratanui. Each unit has a king bed in bedroom and some units have an additional single bed option in the lounge area. Pls send an e-mail if you require for 3 persons.
Midweek Corporate Special
If you are working or visiting New Plymouth then take advantage of our 2 night special. Newly refurbished 1 bedroom unit - all with king beds, some units accommodate 3 persons. Brand new kitchen, bathroom, separate bedroom and lounge. Freeview TV. VERY comfortable in wonderful park-like grounds. Tranquil and serene, great to relax and unwind.
Ratanui Cottage
3 bedroom cottage that can accomodate 6 + persons. The house has 2 double bedrooms, 1 single bedroom ( very small) and 1 double 'nook' area off lounge. Sunny open plan lounge, living and dining areas with an outdoor flow. Fully equipped kitchen, Only 1 bathroom with shower and toilet. Ratanui Cottage is set in 8.5 acres of 'park like' grounds and you will feel like you are in a different part of the world - tranquil and serene.
Ratanui Cottage long stay 7 days & over
If you are visiting New Plymouth for a short length of time and want a peaceful and tranquil place to relax each night. Then you cannot go past this fully furnished 3 bedroom house. Can sleep upto 8 persons. Configuration of king, double and single beds, Open plan living with lounge and dinning area, plus outdoor living space. Only 1 bathroom with toilet. Shared laundry facilities.
Studio Unit
Ratanui Villas offers 3 studio units that each contain a king size bed, dining tables, kitchenettes, and bathroom (with shower). Wonderful mountain views and fabulous 'park like' grounds to wander and relax in, only 6 minutes drive to the city center. Please note these studios are not refurbished.
Two Bedroom Unit
This recently refurbished unit includes two double bedrooms. One bedroom contains king bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds) Brand new kitchen and bathroom with lounge and dining space. Separate bathroom and shared laundry facilities with wonderful 'park like' grounds to wander and relax in.

Stayed 2 nights in studio, not as new and flash as other parts of complex but everything we needed, good for the price. Lovely gardens and surroundings, close enough drive to town to be handy but lovely quiet country setting.

As happy as can be with the hardworking 'gardener/caretaker/owner/receptionist' welcoming us and showing us to a very decent unit to lay down our heads and just relax - even though it was for one night only. Great place.

Beautiful motel to stay. The rooms are very clean and new. The garden is just a dream with all the flowers and magnificent trees. We also got upgraded for free, thanks a lot. A very nice place to relax, close to the mountain and beaches.
